My research activity is part of the ERC DUO project.
The central objective of the ERC DUO project is the development of original, well-defined, and highly dispersed supported heterobimetallic catalysts through a molecular approach. The chemical foundation of the project relies on the combined exploitation of (i) metal–metal cooperative effects and (ii) site-isolation advantages, in order to generate unprecedented and highly reactive catalytic active sites. Ultimately, this strategy aims to unlock new bond activation pathways to address challenging catalytic transformations.
Within this framework, my specific contribution focuses on the application of SOMC-derived heterobimetallic catalysts for hydrogen/deuterium (H/D) exchange, developed in our group, to the direct late-stage deuteration of library of challenging substrates.
