Laboratory of Catalysis, Polymerization, Processes and Materials. We are located at the CPE-Lyon engineering school on the campus of the DOUA in Villeurbanne, and are supported by the CNRS, CPE-Lyon, and the Université Claude Bernard-Lyon 1 (our tutelles), all part of the Université de Lyon. Created from the merger of the UMR Chemistry Catalysis Polymers and Processes (C2P2 – UMR 5265) and Laboratory of Catalytic Process Engineering (LGPC –UMR 5285), the CP2M saw the light of day on 01 January 2021. The new research unit has been created to combine the strengths of the 2 original UMR in terms of the development and implementation of advanced organometallic complexes and materials for different applications (of which homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis), advanced polymerization chemistries and processes, reaction engineering, reactor design and process automation, and new approaches to the study of chemistry.
Research at the CP2M integrates expertise from the molecule to the process, and from product formulation to end-use properties.
The main areas of research include.
Multiscale Catalytic Systems
Polymers and Polymerization
Reactivity in Catalysis
Complex Colloids
Chemical Reaction Engineering
Materials and Molecular engineering
Process Intensification
Recycling , Biomass Valorization in the context of Circular Economy
POLYMERIZATION, CATALYSIS AND MATERIALS (PCM)
MOLECULES, ADVANCED MATERIALS, PROCESS ENGINEERING, CATALYSIS AND COORDINATION (M2AGIC2 in French)
We invite you to visit our RESEARCH Page to find out more about their activities, or our PEOPLE page to see who does what in this new structure.
We are often on the lookout for new collaborations, so check out the JOBS page to see if there is a research project.
Otherwise, take a look at our NEWS page to learn what is going on at the CP2M at this time.
