Project
I have been working with research in polymerization since my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Brasília (Brasília, Brazil). Back then, my research was focused on styrene polymerization using modified ionic liquids as catalysts.
In 2019 I came to the CP2M as a Masters intern for my Master of Science degree at the Federal University of Goiás (Goiânia, Brazil) in Chemical Engineering. My work was on silica-supported metallocene catalysts for gas-phase ethylene homopolymerization, focusing on the pore geometry effect on the performance of the catalysts.
Finally, I came back to the CP2M as a Doctor of Philosophy student at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (Villeurbanne, France) working on Fe- and Ti-based Ziegler-Natta catalysts for Ethylene Polymerization. During my research, I synthesized various catalysts, focusing on improving the synthesis of a patent developed in our lab, and on obtaining an effective dinuclear Fe/Ti Ziegler-Natta catalyst.
Now, as a postdoctoral researcher of the UCBL1, I will be working alongside Sabic on a new project involving once more Ziegler-Natta catalysis for ethylene polymerization.
