I am currently doing a PhD on the following proposal: “Study of catalytic hydrothermal gasification on model compounds of biomasses and wastes”. My PhD director is Pascal Fongarland, and my supervisor is Léa Vilcocq, both at CP2M (MMAGICC).
The main axes of my PhD work are:
- To do preliminary studies on biomass gasification with a commercial catalyst
- To synthesize a noble metal-free catalyst
- To identify beet vinasse model compounds and perform a kinetic study using the previously synthesized catalyst
This work aim to a better understanding of the global impact of a catalyst in supercritical water gasification, especially in organic compounds decomposition to gas species.
Gasification experiments are performed at CEA (Grenoble), while I use to prepare my own catalysts at CP2M.
