The aim of my thesis is to develop catalysts for the silylation of alkanes via a tandem reaction of dehydrogenation of alkanes to alkenes followed by hydrosilylation of the alkene generated. This project will therefore involve developing original molecular complexes composed of non-noble metals supported by polyoxometalate-type units. These complexes will then be introduced into silicon matrices to obtain solid catalysts (heterogeneous catalysts). This project is therefore at the interface between molecular/organometallic chemistry and homogeneous/heterogeneous catalysis. It is being carried out in collaboration with the Paris Institute of Molecular Chemistry.
