On September 11, Ana Paula ALVES AMORIM and Ifrah SHEIKH visited the SABIC GT Centre in Geleen NL.
On September 11, Ana Paula ALVES AMORIM was invited to present some preliminary results of her PhD thesis in the comparision of Gas and Slurry Phase Olfine Polymerisation processes to a group of SABIC researchers. In addition, Ifrah SHEIHK who is just beginning her PhD with the CP2M presented the outline of her SLUGGR project (financed by the DPI). This last project is an international collaboration between the DPI, the group of Professor Hans KUIPERS of the Technical Univeristy of Eindhoven, and of Professor Joao B.P. SOARES of the Univeristy of Alberta in Canada. We are grateful to Dr Erik DELSMAN of SABIC and his team for organising this interesting meeting, that concluded with a visit to SABIC's Horizontal Bed Gas Phase PP production site!
