Advancements in polymer characterization

~ Molar mass determination: Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Light Scattering, Intrinsic Viscosity (IVA).

~ Chemical composition analysis: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), crystallisation elution fractionation (CEF), temperature gradient interaction chromatography (TGIC), temperature rise elution fractionation (TREF), CRYSTAF.

~ Thermal behaviour studies: thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA).

~ Hight temperature system designed for polyolefins analysis (infrared, refractometer, viscosimeter)

~ THF and toluen phase system tetradetector (refractometer, UV, viscosimeter and light scattering detector)

Thermal Analysis:

Thermal Characterization of PVC for Chemical Recycling

Investigation of PVC recycling through thermal analysis using TGA-FTIR, modulated DSC, and Flash DSC to understand its decomposition behavior. Study of solvent effects on gelification, dissolution, and processability to optimize recycling strategies.

Recycling of Polypropylene

Investigation of polyolefin dissolution using online spectroscopy aims to optimize plastic recycling by monitoring polymer concentration in real-time with Raman and ATR-IR spectroscopy.

Elaboration and Characterization of a Dental Composite

Development of an innovative dental composite based on Bis-GMA/TEGDMA and silica nanoparticles, formulated using an original in situ sol-gel process to ensure homogeneous filler dispersion, and enhanced mechanical properties

Polyolefins Characterization

Developpement of new methods for measuring the microstructure of polyolefins : molar mass distribution (MMD) and chemical composition distribution (CCD)

~ Long-chain branching (LCB) determination using viscometric detection

~ Short-chain branching (SCB) quantification using CRYSTAF, TREF, CEF, TGIC, DSC and DSC-SIST

Thermal Analysis Couplings

TGA coupled with FTIR or GC-MS for real-time monitoring of gaseous products during polymer degradation

Chemical Composition of Copolymer using Infrared and Raman Spectroscopy and Chemometrics

FTIR and Raman spectroscopy combined with the partial least square (PLS) method provides a fast characterization of copolymers' intricate composition
